On September 22, 2026, the Academic Board meeting for the Fall Semester of the 2026-2027 Academic Year of the Faculty of Education was held, attended by our University Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Oğuz Gürsoy, and Rector Advisor Prof. Dr. Ali Murat Alparslan.
The meeting, which started with the opening speech of the Dean of the Faculty of Education, Prof. Dr. Firdevs Savi Çakar, first evaluated the 2025-2026 academic year. Then, plans for the 2026-2027 academic year were discussed. In line with the strategic goals of the faculty; studies to be conducted in the fields of education, academic and scientific work, student-centered activities, social contribution, internationalization, digitalization, and program accreditation were evaluated.
Speaking at the meeting, our University Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar emphasized that changing conditions have also transformed the mission and responsibilities of education faculties. He stated that the changing needs regarding the development of teacher education in Turkey and the employment of education faculty graduates highlighted the necessity to turn towards new fields of work and specialization. In this context, he expressed that educational entrepreneurship, digital content production, and new generation education fields have gained importance.
Prof. Dr. Dalgar emphasized the importance of the contribution that the experienced and qualified academic staff of the Faculty of Education will make to the development of the University's education processes and institutional transformation efforts.
20th Anniversary Plaque Presentation Ceremony
As part of the Academic Board Meeting, a plaque presentation ceremony was held on the occasion of our University's 20th anniversary. Plaques were presented to academic and administrative staff who completed 20 years at our University since 2006 and to faculty members who achieved academic promotion in 2026.
During the plaque presentation, Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar thanked the academic and administrative staff for their contributions to our University and expressed his wishes for the new academic year to be successful and productive for our University and Faculty of Education.
After the wishes and hopes were received, the meeting concluded with a lunch organized.
